Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi gave an extensive interview to Le Parisien in which he spoke on a variety of topics. Most importantly, the president of the Parisian club announced a revolution at PSG, saying that the club would change course and no longer buy players just because of the names.
We no longer want fancy and bright names. One is a dream and the other is a reality. We will have the best academy in the world and my goal is to have a team of Parisian players in a few years. There are many talented players in our region and they deserve to play for PSG. “This is the goal. We have done great things for 11 years, but every year we have to ask ourselves how to move forward and how to become better.”

The PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi once again said that Killian Mbappe did not stay at the club because of the money:
Last summer I turned down a € 180 million transfer from Mbappe because I knew Killian wanted to stay at PSG. I know him very well and I know what I have to do. “He and his family. He did not stay here because of the money, he is just here for his city, for his club, country and for his sports project”.

Al-Khelaifi denied talks with Zinedine Zidane. He also confirmed that they want to appoint Christophe Galtier as a new head coach of PSG instead.
I love Zinedine Zidane, he was an astonishing player when he played, with incredible class. He is also an extraordinary coach who has won the Champions League three times, but I will tell you one thing: we have never spoken to him, either directly or indirectly. When I say ‘we’, I mean PSG because I am the president of PSG. We have chosen another option, a coach who we think will be the best option for our ideas. It is no secret that we are negotiating with Nice for Galtier. I hope we can reach an agreement quickly, but I respect Nice and their President River.”
The Paris Saint-Germain boss expects more from the players. He stressed out that those who do not spend their everything for the club will stay out of the project:
“We expect that every player will do much more than last season, much more! All must be spent 100%. The objective for next season is clear: to work every day and spend 200%, to get the maximum for this shirt. Who wants to be in their own comfort zone?
