Lazio star Ciro Immobile will not be able to play football again until 2023. This morning, the 32-year-old forward underwent a medical examination, and a serious injury to the thigh muscle was observed. Lazio has not announced how long their main goalscorer will be unable to help the team. However, it was written in the media that he is 100% in the hospital until the end of the year.
Lazio has important matches ahead of the World Cup against Atalanta, Juventus, and, most importantly, Roma. Ciro Immobile is the joint top scorer in Serie A after 10 rounds with 6 goals (together with Arnautovic and Vlahovic). He is only one goal ahead of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Ciro Immobile is a living Lazio legend, having scored 189 goals in 273 games since his move from Sevilla to Rome in 2016. Last season, he scored 31 goals in 31 matches in the Italian championship. The only positive thing is that Ciro will not miss the World Cup since Italy could not manage to qualify for the World Cup at all.
