Atletico Madrid announced the purchase of Antoine Griezmann from Barcelona. The 31-year-old striker signed a contract with Diego Simeone’s team until the summer of 2026.
As it became known earlier, the price of this deal is 20+4 million euros.
Griezmann returns home
Let us remind you that the French player defended the honor of Atlético on loan. Atlético Madrid forced him to play only after the 60th minute, so the necessary redemption clause would not be activated. Now, this restriction has been removed.
It can be said that for Griezmann, Atlético is his native club. Before moving to Barcelona in 2019, he spent six years in Madrid and scored 94 goals in 180 matches.
