Lionel Messi, the main star of the Argentine football team, said that he would do everything to win the current world championship. Clearly, this is the last World Cup for the 35-year-old forward, so he has to fight for this chance until the end.
Lionel Messi: “It seems that this is the last World Cup for me. The last chance to make my dream and the whole of Argentina a reality. Argentina has to do what we know. We feel good, however, we expect difficult matches, because it does not happen otherwise at the World Cup. We have to calm down and play our football from the first to the last minute. I know that we will have a lot of fans all over the world, for which I thank them.”
We remind you that the Argentine national team was placed in Group C at the World Cup and will have Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland as rivals. Messi’s team will play the starting match on November 22 against Saudi Arabia. Argentinians have won the world championship twice – in 1978 and 1986.
