Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti commented on the local media after the 3:2 win against Bologna.
“There were many conflicting moments in the match, but we still moved forward with inertia. Winning such matches is the most important thing. My players showed a brilliant mentality and created a lot of opportunities. Despite the mistakes, no one gave up and we kept trying. It gives me great pleasure to coach these boys.”
The 63-year-old specialist answered the question of whether they could avoid last year’s failure and fight for the Scudetto to the end:
“I have very good feelings this season as well. We are playing excellent football, the team is motivated. After last year, we added some things and improved our actions. The players are very purposeful, each of them tries to do everything for their partners,” Spalletti said.
Napoli did not lose a single match in the current season and won the 10th match in a row. The Neapolitans are at the top of the Serie A standings with 26 points. The leaders of the championship will play their next game against Roma. The match will start on Sunday, October 23.
