In the 12th round of Serie A, reigning champion AC Milan lost to Torino, which means that Kvicha Kvaratskhelia‘s and Victor Osimhen’s Napoli increased their advantage over one of their main rivals.
Stefano Pioli’s team had the only defeat in the current Serie A season, against Napoli, and this time they lost in Turin. At the end of the first half, “Bulls” scored twice in a two-minute interval – Koffi Djidji opened the scoring with a header, and then Aleksei Miranchuk scored from a sharp corner.
In the second half, Junior Messias from Milan scored one ball. By the way, before the goal, Messias seemed to violate the game’s rules, but VAR did not intervene, and the goal was counted. This made Torino’s head coach Ivan Juric very angry, and he received a red card soon after. Nevertheless, Milan could not score the second goal (they didn’t even have a real chance) and lost.
Thus, “Rossoneri” has 26 points and is already 6 points behind the leader Napoli. Moreover, now close to the leader Milan is Atalanta, which is in 2nd place with 27 points.
