The Brazilian team LOUD won the VALORANT World Championship, which once again confirms that Brazilians play eSports very hard.
The world championship matches were held in “Volkswagen Arena” in Istanbul, and 16 teams fought for first place. Double-elimination principle operated in the tournament, and the main things started from the playoffs.
VALORANT World CUp | Playoffs
The Brazilian team reached the Grand Final quite easily, and there they were waiting for their traditional and, at the same time, principled opponent, OpTic Gaming (an American organization). In general, if you asked about the favorite at the beginning of the tournament, the majority named the North American top five.
The three maps maintained tension and intrigue in the Grand Final. The first confrontation was left to LOUD (15:13). And the second was dominated by OpTic Gaming (13:6). The fate of the champion was decided by the third map, which the Brazilians won (16:14). At that time, the number of simultaneous viewers exceeded one and a half million. In the last map, the North Americans were psychologically broken (5:13), which meant that LOUD got the title of the best team in the world.
The Prize Fund
The prize fund of the World Championship was one million dollars, of which the winner received 300,000. Let’s also say that Brazil is the only country that has won world championships in all of the main shooting games – Valorant, CS:GO, and Rainbow Six Siege.
