Gareth Southgate announced the 26-man list of the England national team, which will play at the World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The English announced the squad for the World Cup with an interesting animated video you can see below.
Before the list was published in the English media, one of the main topics discussed was the issue of James Maddison. In the end, Southgate took the Leicester forward to Qatar, and he will be at the World Cup.
Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori will not be at the World Cup. The players playing in Serie A looked good, and it was a bit of a surprise to many that they were left out of the World Cup. Southgate also left Jadon Sancho out of the application.

Midfielders: Declan Rice (West Ham United), Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Jude Bellingham (Dortmund), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Mason Mount (Chelsea).
Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Callum Wilson (Newcastle), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), James Maddison (Leicester City), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea).
The English national team will start competing at the World Cup on November 21 with a match against Iran. In the second group stage match, “Three Lions” will face the United States of America team on the 25th. In the final match of the group stage, Southgate’s team will play against Wales on the 29th.
