Arsenal’s militaristic past can be found not only in the nickname but also in the logo, which features a cannon. Bhoys is a Glasgow variation of Boys, which is also the nickname of one of the city’s clubs. Look at the photo, and you will understand why… The magpie used to adorn Newcastle’s old logo, but after the change the club still retained the nickname. “Giallorossi”, “Wolves”, “Magicians” – these are the nicknames of Rome!
