But in the case of Manchester United, for example, the term ‘Red Devils’ first appeared around the club, and the nickname was transferred to the logo only a few years later.

However, ‘ Giallorossi’ is probably the most famous. Bhoys is a Glasgow variation of Boys, which is also the nickname of one of the city’s clubs. Juve was founded in 1897 and is one of the oldest clubs in Italy, hence the nickname. The club’s logo depicts a fighting rooster armed with a sharp knife. The magpie used to adorn Newcastle’s old logo, but after the change the club still retained the nickname. On yellow, you probably remembered Villarreal’s yellow uniform, which is why the club’s nickname is decorated with the name of a famous Beatles song. Brush up your memory and try again!
